"Small, but beautifully formed". That's the description that most aptly describes our Village Hall. Built in 1871, up until 1945 it functioned as our village school, and then, when the school closed, it became the Church Hall, until the Parish Council adopted it as our Village Hall in 1986.
The building was extended and refurbished in 2003, with the aid of a Lottery grant, and now boasts a main hall, a separate meeting room, tables and chairs, a fully-fitted kitchen, toilets, a fully enclosed rear garden with garden furniture, and a car park to the front.
This is an ideal venue for children's parties, and small to medium-sized meetings. Over the years, it has played host to several clubs and societies, such as Bowls, Bridge, Mother & Toddler Group, Keep Fit, T'ai Chi and Line Dancing. The maximum number of persons permitted is 70, and the Hall is fully accessible to wheelchairs.
Rates are as follows (those for non-residents are shown in brackets):-
